Scary on the Outside, Manageable on the Inside
Haunted Field of Screams is a local, family-owned haunted cornfield. They came to us with a site that wasn’t nearly scary enough for the public – and far too frightening every time they tried to manage it. Outdated graphics, flash animations that had to be manipulated every year just for text updates, and a brand-new haunt needing a logo, all added up to a truly chilling mess.
Working with Phases took the horror out of the branding process. They helped us streamline our website maintenance, and at the same time they were able to align our brand with our current and future growth while maintaining our existing haunted reputation. We now have a site that we can maintain and update with the same ease as scaring our clients each and every Halloween.
The Solution: Building From the Bones Up
This local attraction needed a new site not only appealing to visitors but also easy to manage. We worked with our development partner Neon Rain to launch a new Drupal site with a front end that features each haunt, and back-end that allows them to easily update all of their content. The new structure included scheduling via Google Calendar, Facebook integration, and easy updates of page content and venue status. Being in the business of fear doesn’t mean updating your site has to be a scary process.
