Celebrating the Day of the Dead

posterIf you’re looking to get in the Halloween mood this Thursday (or just want an excuse to support a good cause), make sure you check out the Eric Cares Day of the Dead!

Dia de Los Muertos, which translates to Day of the Dead, occurs the day after Halloween every year. It’s a day to celebrate life, and to honor those who you have lost. The belief is that on this day, the spirits of the dead come to visit their family members for a short period.

But this celebration isn’t just a fun event; it’s also a fundraiser for a very cool cause. The Eric Cares program is focused on providing support and assisting families with funeral arrangements and expenses following the loss of a child. All proceeds from the Day of the Dead event go to helping families cover their expenses, from the funeral itself to memorials afterward.

You can check out the graphics we designed for the event over on our Behance profile. The dinner itself should be a lot of fun; you can purchase tickets online. And, if you can’t make it, consider donating – the cause is worth it.
